FERRUCCIO Rontini JUNIOR (1963-1994) – Tribute to an artist pure and hostile to the compromises of Mauro Barbieri (Director magazine “Arte a Livorno…e oltre confine”)

Ferruccio Junior Rontini born 23 December 1963 in Piacenza with a “important” name, but will live and work predominantly in Livorno. Son of Giulio Da Vicchio began painting early twenties taking a first period, that figure, the pseudonym of Julius Ferruccio. But the crucial turning point came in 1990 when Ferruccio decided to express themselves through abstract art form, going from oil paints to acrylics and those leaving the brushes used until then on “bischetto” his father, to establish the gap final figurative art which also had formed, from then on took the name of art Feron. The artistic production of Ferruccio Rontini aka Feron then is short but intense and very prolific, many works that are left mostly to the family, all of good quality paint. In the artistic context Leghorn Feron stood out for its originality and elegance in the approach colourist of his paintings.

His creations are never casual always linked to thoughts of all fund that has its origin in the troubled inner analysis, and approval in Pop-Rock

In the monograph published by typography Fracassi (Casciana Terme Pisa) finished print to the family’s decision one year after his death on his father Giulio Rontini Da Vicchio remembers him with these words: “… extraordinarily sensitive and intuitive, but the slave of his own feeling , from almost excessive enthusiasm, with moments of anxiety and pain, when it was in the other match his perfect way, clean and generous conception of life. Do not accept compromises and conveniences … this was his character … ”

The magazine “Arte a Livorno…e oltre confine” was occupied several times in recent years of this young artist, who died prematurely on December 8, 1994.

In particular on three occasions in 1999 for the exhibition at the Gallery in his honor Rontini handled by his sister Alexandra in 2004 at the exhibition at the Cultural Circle Antonio Amato, and in 2009 for presenting the event in Viareggio Art Esplanade.

Three dates representing the occurrences of the five, ten years and fifteen years after his death.

The exhibition will be on show in Villa does have a special flavor and deep.

First, one born in Castiglioncello, so dear to Ferruccio, and where the family Rontini loved to spend summer holidays.

The choice then to pay homage to the Gallery Today’s directed by Roberto and his staff, a reference point for contemporary and modern art, from the right and deserved attention to this artist, who has succeeded in a short time, leaving an indelible mark in landscape painting not only Livorno.

Who was the artist FERON?

I had the opportunity to know him in person, had disappeared from the art scene is too early citizen.

The observation of his work, and friendship with his sister Alexandra, but I was allowed to know in depth the way she said e. .. art.

Painting for Feron, was the medium through which to communicate their feelings, releasing, with colors, emotions and aspirations, but also disappointments and uncertainties.

He tried, very gently, never to give a single interpretation to their work, but created a kind of mystical attention, so that each one could interpret his paintings, depending on your sensibility.

He himself liked to stress that the “interpretation” was to be found during the creation of the work and not upon the completion thereof.

In this journey, but there was a careful research of colors, tones and midtones where, joined to create a homogeneous image.

His paintings, such as complex realization structure, have, however, in its extreme abstraction, a harmony of lines and curves, between colors and delicate violet tones.

This makes the entire production of Feron, harmonious and balanced, and at the same time challenging for the viewer.

The art critic Mario Michelucci, at the exit of the monograph on Feron, wanted to compare, in some respects, the life of Ferruccio, to that of the great ways.

Both were demonstrating an attitude of defiance to life, a sense of existential dissatisfaction, an impatience with the conventions of bourgeois society.

Their life, artist, unfortunately broken tragically at a young age, but even so … still present through their works.

The artist will ‘remember DOTT.GIANNI SCHIAVON by the art historian who edited critical text of the catalog to the editorial staff of the magazine “Arte a Livorno…e oltre confine”
