Contemporary Art at the Villa Mimbelli of Livorno. The nineteenth-century mansion, home of the Museum G. Factors, will host on Thursday 28 January, in one of its sumptuous rooms, including a collection of works of art of the late twentieth century, owned by the municipality of Livorno and coming from the progressive contemporary art museum of Villa Maria.
The red room of the ground floor will host nine works of Italian art belonging to the current poor dell’astrattismo and informal; currents were born between the 50s and 60s in the United States and Europe but to which our artists have joined in many cases with very personal interpretations. It specifically works: “The great reptile” by Pino Pascali; “white area” of Enrico Castellani, “with a rotating inner sphere” by Arnaldo Pomodoro, “Echo” by Attilio Pierelli, “form, light, space” by Carmelo hat and “Problems of unification for color equality” by Mario Ballocco; “CUBRE” by Mario Radice, “Lattice 5″ by Mauro Reggiani and “lntersuperficie curve blank form” of Paul Scheggi.
Attractive for new construction works in the exhibition: it was chosen at random red ground floor room (originally a reception room) frescoed with ornaments that symbolize the labor and allegories of modernity. Next to stuccoed, tapestries, mirrors and a beautiful mosaic floor Venetian, we see modern works, abstract and minimalist that will create a strong contrast with the surrounding environment.
The new hall will be opened on Thursday, January 28 (17 hours) by the Culture Mario Tredici.
Patti occasion, the mad professor, University of Pisa will host a conference on “artistic movements from the 50s to today”: An overview of the main Italian and international artistic experiences gained in the second half of ‘900.
The meeting opened a series of meetings, seminars and educational workshops on contemporary art, entitled “Discover the Arts”, to make the general public, particularly schools and the teaching profession, the art world. The initiatives are promoted by the city of Livorno and treated by the cooperative Itinera part of the Feast of Tuscany this year dedicated to the theme of Arts, Culture, Future.

Mattia Patti and Saturday, March 13 “Contemporary Architecture and City” by the architect. Alessandro Merlo. Teaching interventions will take place in parallel theme in schools, a diverse age groups.
