paroledipintiThe exhibition – with inauguration on 28 November – comes from an idea that took shape some years ago by the merger of two great passions of the artist’s love for painting and love for reading. Over the years, Scarlett has collected annotations, phrases or quotations that she had in common the characteristic of being poetic, being an epitome of wisdom, or simply be “positive” and these have become over time a massive collection constitution for ‘artist is a reference in dealing with everyday life, is a tremendous source of inspiration for the paintings.

In the exhibition “Painted Words” individual paintings, oil paintings, are in fact supported by panels with phrases, poems and messages that speak of peace and solidarity, environment and reflection on social issues and inward and form a small but significant summary of the thinking of famous people from different cultures who have worked in the fields of philosophy, literature, politics and various religions in different eras. While this show as a whole, as well as awareness of issues addressed, manages to convey a great sense of peace and serenity.

“Painted Words” comes to end in November 2009 after being introduced in Pistoia in 2007, the City of Florence, and in 2008 the town of Lucca and Pescia, enriched in each exhibition of new works always.

To coincide the opening of the exhibition, which will take place Saturday, November 28th at 17, we will present the new catalog that will contain the preface of the Mayor of Pistoia Renzo Berti and presentations critical Siliano Simoncini, curator Maurizio Tuci and Director of the Museum, Dr Maria Teresa Tosi.
