Stronger the bond that unites Piergiorgio Branzi photography. A passion was born when, in 1953, in Florence sees a show of Henri Cartier-Bresson. These photos show a possibility of the first expression, a story mode of reality that is not sketch, news, game types but learned, creating refined and bold blacks and whites on the surface of the silver salts.
In recent years Piergiorgio Branzi has long, though at intervals studied photography and grown steadily expanded his passion. He’s done traveling the world, moving from flâneur warned in his city and his country, then in Spain, Russia, France, and always renewing the heritage of shapes and images to capture and create with quell’eleganza that made him famous.
The tour shows the eye presents a selection of his photographs from the fifties until today. New accomplishments for unexpected themes and styles, alternate with the famous images, print, however, with renewed attention, and testify to a consistency of style, a unique language that has always managed to combine attention to formal, continually rethinking traditional iconography of a classic ancestries, with new stimuli and new surprises of vision.
